Customer Information: Client 3.9.6.2 MSI not installing - RESOLVED (27/11/19 11.30am)

The issue with the 3.9.6.2 client MSI not installing and saying it cannot start the Update Service has now been resolved. Please re-download the MSI and use the latest version to deploy 4Matrix.

 SIMS Extract Error: Could not load file or assembly 'AbstractProcesses.DLL'

Solution

This error can occur when clicking Run Extract after choosing a location to save a copy of the Extract to.

This can mean that there is a problem with the SIMS.INI file and we recommend contacting us before carrying out the following steps:

  • Find SIMS.INI in C:\Windows and open with Notepad.
  • Check that the¬†SIMSDOTNETDIRECTORY line includes a folder path.
  • If it is blank, right click SIMS.net (in Start menu or taskbar) and go to Properties to confirm the path.
  • Copy the path and paste into the SIMS.INI file.
  • Restart 4Matrix and try running the extract again.
