Error: SQL server fails to install

This can usually be resolved by running the SQL installer outside of the 4Matrix Network Manager wizard.

Go to drive:\4Matrix\Files and you'll see the SQL installer that was downloaded from the 4Matrix Network setup e.g. SQL_2016.exe

Run it and make sure that you choose to use Mixed Authentication mode when prompted. The install will take longer than if running via the 4Matrix installer, but if it errors, it should provide a more detailed explanation if it fails again. The most likely cause of the error is that the server requires restarting, but it's worth checking the error logs before doing this.

Once complete, go back to the 4Matrix install, and instead of choosing 'Install new server', choose to 'Use an existing server' - choose the server name you have just created manually.
