How to exclude a pupil from Performance Measures calculations, but show in analysis tools

In 4Matrix Cloud, it is possible for a pupil to be visible in some tools but not included in the KS4 School Performance Measures (such as Progress 8, Attainment 8, EBacc and English/Maths Threshold). This setting applies on a per-series basis i.e. you will need to make the changes outlined below for all series you want this setting to apply to.

This feature allows users to track the performance of pupils, without them impacting on headline measures. 

To remove a pupil from KPI calculations but leave them visible in non-KPI related tools:

• Select the relevant Academic Year in the Data Selection panel to ensure you're working with the correct cohort/pupils.
• Select Admin > Series from the ribbon.
• Click on the series name in the Name column.
• In the screen that opens, select the Pupils tab.
• Select Enable Edit Mode. 
• Select the Pupil(s) to apply this setting to using the check boxes to the left of their names.  
• Select Bulk Actions and Not Included.
• Click on Save Changes. 
• You should now see a green success message appear in the bottom-right of the screen to confirm the re-calculation of the series has completed. 

Notes

• This feature is still in development but will work correctly in the following tools: Press Release, KPI Summary, Course Summary, Grade Breakdown, Performance Tracking, EM Threshold, Course Overview. 
• Although possible to select the combination of settings 'Not Visible' but still 'Included', this will have the same behaviour as 'Not Visible' and 'Not Included'.
