How to change the visibility of a series / who can see a series

Restricting access to series is controlled via the Roles function. This is particularly useful for embargoing results series.

Option 1: During import

When creating your series in the import process, it is possible to define the visibility setting (at the same stage as giving your new series a name). 

Simply choose the Roles that WILL have access to the series. Note that when this setting is left blank, all Roles can see the series.

Option 2: After the series has been imported

• Select the relevant Academic Year in the Data Selection panel to ensure you're working with the correct cohort.
• Go to Admin > Series.
• Find the row for the series to change the Visibility settings for.
• To the right of that row, select the Pencil icon.
• A pop-up will appear where you can change all series details, including the Visibility - choose the Roles that WILL have access to the series. Note that when this setting is left blank, all Roles can see the series..
• Click Update once you've made your changes.

Notes

To check which users belong to each role, and to create new roles, go to Admin > Roles.
