How to add results to an existing series

If you need to add a small number of results to an existing course, refer to option 1. If you need to add a large number of results for a new or existing course, refer to option 2.

Option 1: You can manually add, remove and edit grades via Admin > Edit Results.

  • Select the relevant Academic Year and Series in the Data Selection panel to ensure you're working with the correct series and pupils.
  • Go to Admin > Edit Results.
  • In the top-right of the screen, select Enable Edit Mode.
  • You can now use the grid in the same way you'd use a spreadsheet; add, remove and edit grades accordingly.
  • Click Save Changes in the top-right once complete.
  • A confirmation message will be displayed.

Option 2: Results can be imported using a spreadsheet via Admin > Import Data. It doesn't matter if the course already exists in the series or not, you can follow these instructions to add grades to a series.

The following data columns must be included in the spreadsheet: 

  • Surname
  • Forename
  • Sex
  • UPN
  • Course [name], with the results/grades for each pupil
  • Additional courses as required

Import the spreadsheet via Admin > Import Data.  Select Upload file and drag and drop your spreadsheet into the boxAt Step 2 ensure the bullet is selected for ‘Results’ and select the appropriate academic year and EXISTING series to add the grades to. In Map Data, all columns should auto-map, unless you are importing a new course, in which case you can create the course as part of this process. Complete the import wizard.
